Dezi is a dual nationality citizen of Jamaica and Antigua and Barbuda. Dezi has been in the hospitality business for over twenty years with experience in all aspects of hotel operations and food and beverage management within Antigua and Barbuda, Jamaica and the United States. Dezi is an American Culinary Federation (ACF) Certified Executive Chef (CEC) with years of experience managing the food and beverage operations in fast-paced kitchens with daily changing menus in five-star hotels. His culinary experience spans a wide range of cuisines and is enhanced by his skills in fruit and vegetable carvings and fat sculpting. Dezi is a strong believer in the use and development of Caribbean food culture and endeavors to both traditionally and creatively use local food in the menus he creates. Dezi’s hospitality experience extends to the managerial level inclusive of budgeting and accounting responsibilities. As a manger and certified hospitality educator, he has been instrumental with several programs geared at developing Caribbean cuisine in, Jamaica, Antigua and Haiti. As a mentor, his passion has not just been for food but the training of young chefs under his charge. Now launching his personal business, by his side, his latest mentee, the "little" chef, who from kindergarten has always said he wanted to be a chef like his dad. Ten years later, he's now starting to chart his own path towards becoming an executive chef himself
